CC Africa's Finance team recently raised a whopping R43 250 towards their goal of building a home with Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit Christian housing organisation that seeks to provide simple, decent and affordable housing to underprivileged communities around the world.
Members of the Finance team (including our five Accounts staff in Cape Town) took turns working on-site in Driezek, Orange Farm (50 km from Johannesburg) to help build a home for a family of AIDS orphans. The family is headed by the eldest daughter, 25 years old, who has also been out working alongside the builders each day.
Cape Town's Budget Rent A Car also donated a car to the team to use for the entire week, as their contribution to the project. And to top it all off, CC African Shareefa Christley and her husband generously donated kitchen interiors for the house once it is completed! This will be an incredible finishing touch for the family. A huge thank you to the Finance team, Budget and the Christley's, for helping to build a home and hope.
