CC Africa guides learn from conservationists around the world
25 Oct 2007
CC Africa's fantastic and truly innovative 'guide swap' is well underway, with guides from other corners of the world visiting CC Africa to learn about how we are making a difference, and many of our CC Africa guides venturing to those corners of the world to expand their horizons.
Abdallah Hassan, senior ranger at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, recently returned from a life-changing safari to the Arctic! He spent time in the Great White North, with our friends at Cruise North Expeditions, learning about their environment, culture, wildlife and people. Below is an excerpt from an email we received from Abdallah while he was exploring the winter wonderland!
"Jambo from Arctic! Even to this moment that I am back at home in Tanzania, but in my head it is still sound like a dream that I have made it to the place that even most of the Canadians have never been. Through CC Africa and huge help from Cruise North Expedition in Canada, I have explored the High Arctic all the way to Resolute Bay (The Place of No Sunset). I love CC Africa, this is where the dreams will turn to reality and things will just happen and there is endless surprises in recognition to everyone. I will never stop talking and sharing the knowledge whenever I can about my trip and my lifetime experience in High Arctic Canada with Cruise North Expedition about the beauty of the place, wildlife and people and their culture. Once again on behalf of my family I would like to thank everyone in CC Africa who made this happen."
