NAMIBIA

Responsible safaris in Namibia

Beyond the capital city of Windhoek, almost all of Namibia's population is concentrated in the sub-tropical Kavango region in the extreme north. This, and the adjacent Caprivi Strip, provides a dramatic contrast to the rest of the country. The impressive Fish River Canyon in southern Namibia is contiguous with South Africa's Richtersveld National Park.

EFFORTS IN NAMIBIA

Environmental Responsibility

In the fragile desert landscape it is vital to be extra sensitive to the environment in which the lodge is constructed, and to manage all forms of energy and water use. Sosssusvlei Mountain Lodge has a vigourous recycling program with dry waste being transported to Walvis Bay. Strict water conservation is employed at the lodge.
